Hi, I own a SS11 and I want to know if it is the A or B model. It is not written nor on on the label pasted
on a lateral face (SERIAL 6970) nor in the serial number at the bottom of the pedal (1009125)

This pedal - the first version SS-11 which has been let out in the limited circulation, it something an average between "A" and "B". After release of this series of pedals division SS-11 on "A" and "B" has been made.

Hi,
I'm very interrested by the TS2. Here is my question :
- using the footswitch, is it possible to have the 4 type of configuration: "none, A,B, A&B" ?
or is it only "A or B" ? Or only "none, A or B"?
What's it about that exactly ? I didn't find the answer in the PDF manual file!

Using footswitch, you can switch only " A or B ". But if in a loop "A" ("B") the external pedal is not connected, switching will be " none or B " (" A or none ")

Hi, I am interested in your products. Can I use FX-pedal California Sound with EH 44-Magnum and box Marshall 1912? Will be the result with R-1 (intead of the Calif. Sound) better or similar?

FX-pedal California Sound - a series of pedals conveys character of sounding.
AMT LA R-1 - the guitar preliminary amplifier modelling the overloaded tube. Thus the result will be different

Question:

I Plugged Wrong Adaptor
I accidentally plug a 9 Volt Line 6 powersupply into The SS-11..
The light turn on but there was no sound coming out..
I switched back to its original 12V powersupply and it works fine but I am worried the 9V powersupply may have damaged it in some ways..
What do you think of this??

Answer:

Use 9VDC instead of 12VDC to damage of the device will not result. However, in the future, refrain from similar experiments and do not connect the device to adapters which parameters do not meet the requirements, described in User's Manual.

Clean sound: F1 vs SS11
Hello there! I have a F1, and like it very much. I was thinking about buying the SS11 to get a more "amp-like" feeling. However, somebody told me the clean channel in the SS11 does not use the tubes and has the same circuitry as the F1. But the block diagram in the SS11 manual shows the clean channel going through two tube gain stages.

My question is: is the clean channel in the SS11 really the same as the F1? Do they sound very similar?

AMT SS-11 - completely the tube device. All three channels (including Clean channel) AMT SS-11 are realized on tubes 12AX7-EH (or 6Н2П-ЕВ). Clean channel AMT LA F-1 is constructed on JFET transistors.

Pedal R-1 is the guitar preliminary amplifier, and to connect it in INPUT COMBO it is impossible.
Therefore R-1 cannot carry out a role simple Direct Box.

Hi !
Three questions :
-In bypass mode, is the R1 just like a simple Direct Box ?
-Can the R1 split the signal between the Direct Output and the Cab Simulator at the same time ?
-Will the sound be good in adding a distortion pedal in the effect chain (and keep the R1 in a bypass mode) ?

SS-11A and SS-11B - very close relatives. The version "A" is more for monolithic power-chords, and the version "B" - for more torn sound making. But it is more than difference in nuances.

Question:

LA Series - technical questions
I already own most of the LA series pedals and I love them. Great job!! However, I have 3 questions:

Do you recommend to power those units with 9V or 12V... or doesn't it make a difference at all?

I know I can boost the signal with a Tube Screamer before it goes to the F1 (I assume this applies to all of the LA series pedals). Can I feed them with line signals too or is there a risk of damage by overpowering the pedals' input? But I guess in case of too hot input levels they would sound unhealthy a good bit before they break, right..?

Are the speaker simu cirquits the same on all LA series models or does each pedal have their own EQ curve that matches the frequency response of a common cab for the specific modelled amp?

Connecting to pedals LA the power supply 9 VDC or 12 VDC you get different soundings. It has been made specially, that you could choose best of offered variants.
AMT LA a series is constructed the same as both tube amps and tube combo. Yes, you as can influence sounding LA preamps, connecting on an input all of them possible Tube Screamer.
Signal Tube Screamer (and similar to it) you do not damage LA.
Speaker simu in current LA the same is applied. But we continuously improve our devices, and they can differ in the new advanced models from earlier.

I read, that F1 can add Preamp from the outside, my question .... Do If I add P1 Preamp from the outside as it can? In terms of P1 into Channel 2 ...

Hi! I'really interested in AMT P1 to replace my guitar amp.
I'd like to know if it possible connect it with a power amp stomp-box, like Electro Harmonix Caliber 22, and then an Orange Cabinet (that i've already have). I'd put also a flanger a delay and a phaser.
The chain would be:
Guitar --> Flager --> Phaser --> AMT P1 --> Delay --> EH Caliber 22 --> Orange Cab

Yes, certainly, you can use Caliber 22.
But we recommend to use such chain:
Guitar-> AMT P-1-> Flanger-> Phaser-> Delay-> EH Caliber 22-> Orange Cab
Flanger and phaser it is possible to change places.

I am very interested with the F-1 pre amp!
is it possible to connect an overdrive + eq in the "channel" loop, then i could have a fender-like clean channel when the preamp is on and attack directly my amp, which is mostly uk, when the F-1 is by-passed so i could get a GREAT uk lead tone?

Urgently we recommend to connect preamp in jack RETURN of loop FX AMP. SS-11 is not effect, and preamp. Therefore we cannot be responsible for quality of the received sound and the pleasure connected with it from playing the guitar at connection in INPUT the amplifier.
For connection in jack INPUT, company AMT develops specialized pedals FX-series which will enter into a market in the near future.

Dunlop DC BRICK has no output 12VDC, therefore it cannot be used as power supply SS-11.
For SS-11 it is possible to apply only power supplies with a supply voltage 12VDC and the minimal current 1А (centre negative polarity).
Concerning purchase SS-11 and the AC/DC adapter to it, you can address to our distributor Thomann .

Hi!
I am really interested in your F-1 preamp. I'd like to use it with my tube amp in order to get the classic fender tone. My concern is that my amp doesn't have an effect loop...Can the F-1 be plugged directly in the main input of my amp, exactly like a standard FX pedal? Or do I absolutly need an effect loop to use it?

The output of the preamp cannot be connected in the main (guitar) input of the preamp, since the amplitude-frequency characteristic of a signal on an output of the preamp nonoptimal for a guitar input.
For connection F-1 to the main (guitar) input of the amp you should establish the switch on left panel F-1 in position " CAB.SIM-10dB ". Only in this case you can obtain satisfactory result.
